The Specialists in Comprehensive Community Support Services — Southern New MexicoLos Especialistas en Servicios Integrales de Apoyo Comunitario — Sur de Nuevo México
Our Approach
Clients meet with support staff to identify needs, goals, and obstacles. Goals and services are meant to promote recovery, rehabilitation, and resiliency by addressing the barriers that impede the development of skills necessary for independent functioning in the community. Clients are assigned a support team to help them reach these goals by coordinating desired client services to support a comprehensive and collaborative service plan. Clients receive this through practicing new skills, helping them monitor their progress, assisting with their treatment, modeling effective coping techniques, and self-help strategies. Peer Support Specialists (PSS) focus on various therapeutic and supportive tasks emphasizing self-advocacy. Community Support Workers (CSWs) connect clients to available resources and provide assistance and support.
